Yoga for Survivors

Many cancer survivors deal with anxiety and stress.  There is the fear of death and disability.  Even after successful treatment, there is the fear of recurrence.  The marathon bombings have added an additional level of anxiety and stress.  It has been a tough time for those of us in the Boston area.

Kudos to Malu Doherty for recognizing this and providing CaSfA with the most extraordinary yoga class last night.  She concentrated on mindful relaxation and meditation and gentle relaxing stretching.  I'm sorry more of you couldn't be there, for I left feeling a hundred percent better than when I walked in!

There are two more opportunities to attend Yoga for Survivors--May 8 and May 22.

There is also going to be a OneFundBoston fundraiser hosted by Malu on Saturday, May 11 from 2-5pm at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church in Northborough, Ma.  The event is open to the public and will consist of Yoga, Nia and Meditation.
